Monday, November 3rd, 2008 - a date which will live in infamy... (to borrow from F.D. Roosevelt...)

S&W Winger - after her Iron Butt ride to visit her Mom in New Jersey - accepted the invitation to break bread with the Mid-Atlantic Mob at one of the mob-frequented seafood dining establishments - located somewhere in the mid-Atlantic. Because the Feds are monitoring the Internet, it's precise location can't be divulged, but we can say it was "By The Docks"...

There's a thread on GL1800Riders.com about our meeting: [Lunch with S&W Winger at By The Docks]

"BlkPirate" & "Blondie" (not their real names) allegedly arrived together from an allegedly undisclosed location - and we can neither confirm, nor deny, that it was Winchester, Virginia or Woodbridge, Virginia.

Here you see IB Bud "The Recorder", S&W Winger "The Enforcer" & Consiglieri "Wheels" enjoying the "ambiance".

Consiglieri "Wheels", "Blondie" & BlkPirate "The Tracker" discuss weighty family matters...

S&W Winger paid respect to Consiglieri "Wheels" by the traditional presentation of gifts...

@#$%@#$%

Unfortunately, the fool photographer failed to conceal the Consiglieri's features!

That photographer'll soon be "swimmin' with the fishes"!

(Moving your mouse over the picture may "eliminate" the problem...)

As always, the crab cake sandwiches were enjoyed by all who ordered them. We'll let the cook live...

During lunch, the Consiglieri extended the hand of friendship to S&W Winger who welcomed the invitation to join "The Family" and to represent our "interests" in Florida.

We got word that the Feds were closing in on our location, so we decided it was time for us to "blow the joint".

We scattered like rats caught in a... caught by a... uh...

We went in a buncha different directions...

"BlkPirate" & "Blondie" acted as decoys and stayed behind while the rest of "La Famiglia" sped out of the parking lot.

"IB Bud" & I escorted "S&W Winger" to I-95 South, then, allegedly, continued around the Baltimore Beltway to, allegedly, our final undisclosed destinations.

"La Famiglia" has traditionally used chains and cinder blocks to resolve problems that "weigh" on our minds. As you can see, S&W Winger has taken a new, non-traditional approach to resolving issues where it has been decided that the transgressor must "sleep with the fishes". She uses an aircraft cable with an integrated lock. As you can see in this picture, she's using it to keep her bag secured to her back seat - in case a hurricane or tornado should suddenly spring up in her path. This type of forward thinking is welcomed in new members of "La Famiglia" where traditional methods may have been superceded by more current technology.

As always - whenever we get together - we had a great time!

Ride safe, and...
Ride OFTEN!
