& Southern Maryland Stuffed Ham II

Saturday, November 29, 2008 - it was back down to Motovation Cycles for new tires, oil, & a brake flush.

I had a 10:00a.m. appointment so I planned to leave Dundalk at around 8:30a.m. I'd be joined on this ride by Mid-Atlantic Mob members "Wheels" (not his real name) and "captcarl" (almost his real name).

We got down there at 10:15a.m. to find the crew ready to swarm the Doubloon for the scheduled maintenance.

Little did we know, the gustatory delight awaiting us...

Dan Kenney's wife Brigid had made Southern Maryland "Stuffed Ham" - and Dan had brought a container of it into the shop to titillate the taste buds of his patrons!

Thanks, Dan!

(Now I need to get her recipe to add to the growing collection...)

Several times in the past, GL1800Riders alum "tjshelton" (darn near his real name) had extended an invitation to visit his home in Leonardtown, so after the guys had wheeled my 'Wing into the shop, I gave him a call.

Less than a half an hour later, Tom was at Motovation with us.

Left to right:

  • "captcarl"
  • "motovation" (A/K/A Dan Kenney)
  • "tjshelton"
  • Dan's daughter (sorry I didn't catch your name)
  • "Wheels" head
  • & someone who stopped at the shop whose name I also didn't catch...
