Home of Baltimore's Biggest Parrot Head

Inside I've included a myriad of information about Mr. Buffett, Parrot Heads in general, Parrot Heads in particular, Parrot Heads in Paradise, my own attempt at a Disco-lyri-ography, information on the infamous blue agave and a whole slew of other stuff...

Besides being a Parrot Head, I'm also a Honda Goldwing rider & ride with the Lynx Motorcycle Club - and have acquired an eclectic collection of information about hot dogs, sausages, wursts & whatnot...

So, sit back, put your feet up, pop a little Buffett into your MP3 Player/PDA/12-Volt Blender combo - and click on one of the links below...

Oh... I also recently "nailed up" a Facebook page...

A good friend of mine sent me a link to the YouTube video below - embedded in a page on the Sons of Liberty web site. Thanks, Howard... Well put!

A NOTE ABOUT THE PARROTHEAD WEB RING

I've been a member of the Parrothead Web Ring for years and was saddened to receive the following e-mail from the "Old Parrot Head " Billy Peoples on April 15, 2008:

My dear members and friends,

To my great sorrow RingSurf made major changes to all their rings on 31 March with no advance warning or consultation with ring managers. The changes negate all the exclusive requirements for membership in the Parrot Head Webring or any ring. I have long claimed that OUR ring was the "BEST" of all the rings on the Internet, that was due to hours of effort by many interested members and naturally the dedication of your manager. Yes it was difficult to place the HTML navigational code on some sites but most were able to comply.

Under the new scheme all one has to do is to place a banner on the their site and they become members. Our stated requirements will become meaningless and to be a member of what was a fine ring will no longer exist. The linkage we had between sites will no longer exist and the pride of being a member of a great ring will vanish.

I have contacted the management of RingSurf and can not get a concession to mange the ring in the fashion it previously enjoyed and have no choice but to remove the ring from RingSurf. Sure management will be easier but all rings will lose their exclusivity, I still have hopes and will take no action until the first of May.

If you so desire click on your code for "next site" and you will start to be aware of the situation.

I have been involved with this great Parrot Head ring since 1996, it was first opened on 25 April 1997 on Yahoo. Yahoo tried this same tactic years ago and the ring was moved to Ringsurf. I simply do not have the time, desire or energy to look for another provider and update over 500 active sites. Being Parrot Heads and with so many internal changes, particularly in clubs, not many have any idea as to how to edit their site Info Files and surely do not remember passwords from years ago. I have come to love Parrot Heads with all their idiosyncrasies and their love of mankind, we are a bunch that truly party with a purpose.

Thanks to all my friends and all you terrific members.

It has truly been an honor and pleasure to serve you for the past several years.

FINZ,

Billy H. Peoples

I've decided to leave the link up as an homage to the old web ring...
