Home Stranded on a sand bar...

Sunday the 15th dawned cold... 32 degrees cold. (Just like I "planned"!)

The Weather Gods had smiled on us. I'd been hoping for a couple of days of sunny & dry weather to remove any residual winter precipitation from the roads of the route I'd planned...

    And I'd gotten it...

I'd also hoped for temperatures around freezing for the day of the ride...

    And I got that, too!

(I mean... What would a "Frosty Balls" Poker Run be without gettin'... well... you know...)

Perfect! Everything was in place. "Joppa" had arranged with Otter Point Yacht Club for us to start our poker run there and I'd arranged with Roula (the General Manager of the Peach Bottom Inn) to have the Delta Family Restaurant as our mid-point & Dee Dee Mitchell of Big Falls Inn to end our poker run there. Now all we needed were riders...

I believe Garry Manning (Pete's Cycle, Baltimore) was one of the earliest arrivals (besides "Joppa"). He's on the right here with "Cajun" (Warrior Brotherhood) and Cajun's ol' lady...
Then the Lynx began to arrive...

Even "Diver" showed up!

"Joppa" drove his Monte Carlo... (Yes... That's a 454!)

As usual, the Chosen Sons Motorcycle Club supported us on our Poker Run...

Thanks, Bro's!

That's XIII and his ol' lady talkin' with Garry Manning from Pete's Honda

One of the Chosen Sons arrived with this winsome lass safely tied(?) to his bike...

At about quarter after ten the first group pulled out of Otter Point Yacht Club...

It's tough gettin' a group shot at Poker Runs...

This is the best I could do.

Clicking on the picture will open a larger version in a new window...

(Thanks, Diver!)

"Gadget" finally arrived and around 11:15, the Lynx were ready to ride...

The video below is fifty megs. It might be better for you to right-click the link and save it to your computer and watch it from there...

"Pokey", "Shooter" & "Joppa" manning the sign-in table at Big Falls...
Lynx beginning to arrive at Big Falls...

If I'm not mistaken, this was the last group to arrive at Big Falls

If I am mistaken... Sorry!

And here's my one word of warning to you...

The "gentleman" in the picture rides with the Chosen Sons and goes by the name "Wizard". Do not play cards with this man!

He kept us all amazed with his sleight-of-hand tricks with playing cards. He's an absolute master with a deck of cards.

Do not...

I repeat: DO NOT play cards with this man!

Seriously, though...

Wizard, it was a pleasure meeting you and I'm lookin' forward to riding with you!
